Wedding’s aren’t just for the bride! Surprisingly, the groom will have a lot of his own moments. So this time, we’ve asked them to give us a ceremony that puts “The groom in the spotlight” ♪

You’re actually going to get married. What kind of engagement ring will you prepare?

A ring that can be used for defence when the time comes. A pointed 20 karat diamond, can totally be used as a weapon! Because a sharp diamond will shine beautifully, and you can protect yourself too.

9 months before

Meeting her parents. What will you say?

“I will protect your daughter but, I will also teach her how to protect herself. So please, entrust me with your daughter”

Choosing the venue. What kind of ceremony do you want to have where?

Personally I want to go to a secluded island and have the ceremony in a cottage over the water. Because I think being able to see the sea would be beautiful. But in reality anywhere is fine. If there is somewhere that my wife is hoping for, then it will be fine for me too.

6 months before

Drawing up the guest list. How many people and who will you invite?

It’s embarrassing so just my family. But I feel like I want the members to come too. Because they’ll have to give us a lot of presents (lol).

5 months before

Now it’s time to choose the outfits. What kind of outfit do you want to wear?

I know white tuxedos are for Summer… But I don’t really like white (lol). But,

I want my wife to wear a pure white wedding dress! And dressed like that the two of us will leap into the sea (lol).

The ceremony planned by the groom is flashy ♡What kind of performance do you want to give?

Since the ceremony will be held in a cottage over the sea, I want to enter on a jet board! Coming in completely drenched, riding a cute dolphin would be good too (lol).

The background music is a key point. What’s one song you want to play during the ceremony?

Kinki Kids’ “Family~ Hitotsu in naru koto” (Family~ Become one) I guess. Because when you get married you become a family! It would probably be nice to have playing as the background music for the slideshows of our lives up until now. It would make a nice ending song too though.

We’re already 90 years old. We’ve done a lot of things up until now. It’s been over 60 years since we got married, Japan and the World have changed a lot. But, our relationship hasn’t changed since we got married, and with our great love, we’ll do our best to live for another 300 years… This is a letter I’ll send to you in the future.

You’re actually going to get married. What kind of engagement ring will you prepare?

One with a jewellery show grade diamond that covers her entire finger. You normally spend about 3 months wages on the ring so I guess it’ll be about eight hundred million (lol)? (t/n: in yen, in aud it would be about 8 million)

9 months before

Meeting her parents. What will you say?

I’ll build a good relationship with her parents when we start going out, her father will say “Take my daughter from me”. So after I propose I’ll inform them “Please put in a ballot to attend the wedding”.  (t/n: he means in the same way that fans have to ballot for concerts)

8 months before

Choosing the venue. What kind of ceremony do you want to have where?

In a church near the beach in Hawaii with just our families there would be nice. Or I’ll listen to what my wife is hoping for.

Drawing up the guest list. How many people and who will you invite?

For me just having my family and the members there is enough but, the people my wife wants to invite will give it a good balance too. The Johnny’s I’d invite would be the ones I owe a lot to, like Higashiyama Noriyuki-san, Matsuoka Masahiro-san, Ohno Satoshi-kun and Maruyama Ryohei-kun.

Now it’s time to choose the outfits. What kind of outfit do you want to wear?

Since we’ll be in Hawaii, we’ll wear the see through outfits that Arashi wore when they debuted. I’ve decided my wife will wear a dress and I’ll wear their costume.

3 months before

The ceremony planned by the groom is flashy ♡What kind of performance do you want to give?

Higashiyama-kun, Ohno-kun and I will sing Shonentai’s “Kimi dake ni” (Only you) (lol). Of course the choreography will be flawless. With this performance as the main event, there’s no doubt that it will make my wife and the guests really happy.

2 months before

The background music is a key point. What’s one song you want to play during the ceremony?

“White Love” is JUMP’s famous love song, because the members will come to the ceremony too, I’ll definitely have it playing when they enter.

To my future bride

Turing back to the time before we were married, it was a month where we really did a lot of different things. (Then here Dai-chan will heckle me like “So quick! It came out of the blue!”). I fell in love with the food that you cooked me, I thought “This person’s cooking tastes like family, I want to eat it my whole life”. That was… your paella. (And then the members will heckle me again like “Was it paella?!”) From then on, we created a new life together and I want to have a lively family just like your paella. Encourage me to be a “stay at home dad” for the sake of this family. (And then the members will heckle me again like “You’re going to quit being an idol, and become a stay at home dad?!”) That stay at home dad… please hold on nice and tight to his reins. I look forward to it.

You’re actually going to get married. What kind of engagement ring will you prepare?

I want to put the ring in one of those ring cases but, it will actually be a like a Matryoshka

doll. When she opens the lid there will be another ring case, they’ll gradually get smaller and then from the last one a 1 karat diamond ring will appear!

9 months before

Meeting her parents. What will you say?

I’ll say “Please let me sponge off your daughter.  I’ll take care of all the housework, I want to be a stay-at-home dad”, I’ll end up declaring myself a house husband.

8 months before

Choosing the venue. What kind of ceremony do you want to have where?

Well if we’re going to do it then, the beach is a beautiful place. Somewhere far from Japan, the Maldives (lol). We’ll have the ceremony in a church where you can see the sea… and saying this suddenly, the ceremony will be Western style (lol). A cosy little ceremony would be nice.

6 months before

Drawing up the guest list. How many people and who will you invite?

Mine and my wife’s parents and both of our families. And the JUMP members are absolutely necessary. Because I want the members’ blessings.

5 months before

Now it’s time to choose the outfits. What kind of outfit do you want to wear?

Since it’s a Western ceremony I’ll wear a tuxedo. The members will participate, and they’ll appear wearing tuxedo’s in my light blue member colour. They’ll wear fresh scallop shells on their breasts instead of handkerchiefs, to show off the Maldives’s sea produce (lol).

3 months before

The ceremony planned by the groom is flashy ♡What kind of performance do you want to give?

Straight after we show a video of the members on a giant projector, they’ll make a surprise entry and tear through the paper screen and shout “Congratulations!”.

2 months before

The background music is a key point. What’s one song you want to play during the ceremony?

It’s hard to only choose one, we’ll start with “Ultra Music Power” when the newlywed couple enter the venue, and then at each important moment we’ll play a JUMP single. But, for the finale I want Yabu to give a moving performance of his solo ballad “Ryusei no Uta”.

You’re actually going to get married. What kind of engagement ring will you prepare?

I’m only interested in matching wedding rings but, if my girlfriend wants a simple ring, then I’ll design something that is normal and functional.

9 months before

Meeting her parents. What will you say?

So that her parents can feel at ease I’ve decided to clearly tell them “I have decided to protect your daughter in place of her father” I will show them my sincerity and ask “Would you please entrust her to me?”

8 months before

Choosing the venue. What kind of ceremony do you want to have where?

Holding the ceremony overseas is unexpected and I think it will give things an even happier feeling. I’m imagining something like a garden wedding on a tropical island with a wide, blue sky.

6 months before

Drawing up the guest list. How many people and who will you invite?

I want to invite a careful selection of about 100 people that I owe a lot to. My seniors and juniors, it’s quite natural to say these people but, I definitely want the members to come. Saying that, I believe that everyone would be happy to come!

5 months before

Now it’s time to choose the outfits. What kind of outfit do you want to wear?

If it was a white outfit like I’m wearing today then I’d be scared of it getting dirty and I wouldn’t be able to eat the caterer’s sushi (lol), so I can eat it I think a black suit would be better.

3 months before

The ceremony planned by the groom is flashy ♡What kind of performance do you want to give?

I want to leave the whole thing up to my friends that come. Because it’s not necessary for me to draw attention to myself, it would be fun for everyone to show me the things they want to do. I’m hoping someone would make a video of celebratory messages, I’d be happy if they did.

2 months before

The background music is a key point. What’s one song you want to play during the ceremony?

We’ll start with “Anniversary”, then we’ll raise the energy with the bright “Ai nanda” (It’s love). Lastly I think “Lion Heart” will bring everything to a gentle close.

There are a lot of things I like about you, and the more time we spend together the more they increase. And I’m sure, that they will continue to increase from now on. I love you. Let’s be together from now until forever.

You’re actually going to get married. What kind of engagement ring will you prepare?

While we’re window shopping on a date, I’ll research the kinds of things she likes. When I go to visit my friends accessory shop we’ll design a ring, and then I think it would be nice to give it to her as a secret present.

Meeting her parents. What will you say?

With my personality I’m sure that I’ll already get on really well with her parents. On the day when I politely say “Please allow me to marry your daughter” they’ll laugh and ask me to (lol).

Choosing the venue. What kind of ceremony do you want to have where?

As you’d expect the wide blue skies of Hawaii are the best. Because the receptions in Japan are all prim and proper, I want to try a casual style wearing Hawaiian shirts, and have an exciting, noisy ceremony.

Drawing up the guest list. How many people and who will you invite?

A small amount of people for the ceremony, and then I want to invite about 200 people that I owe a lot to to the reception. Of course I want my “Gokusen” comrades Kitayama and Junta to come too.

Now it’s time to choose the outfits. What kind of outfit do you want to wear?

For the reception and wedding the easy answer is to wear a white suit I guess. If my girlfriend wants colours then, I’ll prepare a suit that will properly match her coloured dress. Because I want to make my girlfriends dreams come true.

3 months before

The ceremony planned by the groom is flashy ♡What kind of performance do you want to give?

A video of our life plan for our families. Because I’m really dedicated, I want to include all the little things too to make people laugh, it will be a reception where everyone shares their laughter.

2 months before

The background music is a key point. What’s one song you want to play during the ceremony?

Rather than playing our own music, I want to choose songs that the guests will enjoy. Because I can’t deal with gloomy songs, I want to perform Arashi’s wedding song “Ai o sakebe” (Shout Love) and create a bright atmosphere.

You’re actually going to get married. What kind of engagement ring will you prepare?

An enormous diamond set straight into a silver ring. Because I want it to be surprising the impact is important so, I won’t consult her about it before hand!

Meeting her parents. What will you say?

I’ll ask “Please let me marry XX”. Of course, before going to ask them about getting married I want to have met her family a number of times. I guess it will depend on her parents’ personalities but, I’m sure we’ll get on quite well.

Choosing the venue. What kind of ceremony do you want to have where?

It would be nice if there was somewhere in Japan where we can do a Western wedding.  I’m not hung up about it but, it would be nice to make memories that last for a number of years.

I want to invite all of my good friends. It’s embarrassing for the members so they’re fine (lol). But, since Takaki who is sitting beside me just got mad and said “Why didn’t you invite me!” I’ll invite him as JUMP’s representative.

Now it’s time to choose the outfits. What kind of outfit do you want to wear?

Um~ Honestly anything is fine (lol). I want my wife to use her fashion sense and choose. As long as I can see my wife wearing a wedding dress I’ll be happy.

3 months before

The ceremony planned by the groom is flashy ♡What kind of performance do you want to give?

I want the ceremony to be as simple as possible but, if I have to do something then I guess I’ll play the piano. Of course, my wife will sing! It will be perfect if we do it together, I want to hang out with her while we properly practice together.

2 months before

The background music is a key point. What’s one song you want to play during the ceremony?

As we enter the venue the opening background music will be “Ho! Summer” (t/n: idk this song, lol). Because the venue and the people will be tense, it’ll get them excited from the very beginning.

You’re actually going to get married. What kind of engagement ring will you prepare?

A sparkling ring full of diamonds of course but, it will be hung on a 15kg chain, it’s a special order piece that weighs 30kg all up. Someone who would be happy with this would be great (lol).

Meeting her parents. What will you say?

“I know I’ve said it 100 times but… please can I have your daughter”. The first time I’ll ask in a suit but, the 100^thtime I’ll ask in a leather jacket!

8 months before

Choosing the venue. What kind of ceremony do you want to have where?

Somewhere like a place her parents remember, the place her parents go married would be nice. Because rather than having “our wedding”, I want to make her family happy. It would be nice to take the same photos that they did at the time.

Drawing up the guest list. How many people and who will you invite?

It’s embarrassing but, I want to invite the members. I want Snow Man and SixTONES to do a 5 minute acrobatics show!

Now it’s time to choose the outfits. What kind of outfit do you want to wear?

Clothes that represent the era are good. Or a casual denim would be nice too. At Ryuchell’s wedding black and white were banned but, that’s great too. In the future, I want to show my kids and say “This was popular long ago”.

3 months before

The ceremony planned by the groom is flashy ♡What kind of performance do you want to give?

I want to play original background music. Because I have a lot of songs that I made long ago. I want to write the name art on the guests’ name cards by hand too.

2 months before

The background music is a key point. What’s one song you want to play during the ceremony?

Kinki Kids “Family~ Hitotsu in naru koto” (Family~ Become one). I heard it at the Countdown concert, and I started to think “This is a great song”. Because the lighting was beautiful too, I want to reproduce that, and play it during the scene when we enter the venue.

We’ve always been together since we met in 20xx, “Happiness like this doesn’t exist” I thought but, today seeing you who is even more beautiful, I am the happiest man in the world. You’re actually going to get married. What kind of engagement ring will you prepare?

Something you can use normally, that’s just a little bit fancy. If I decide to get married, I’ll definitely choose something that suits my partner’s tastes.

Meeting her parents. What will you say?

I’ll say “We were able to meet thanks to the two of you. Won’t you let her marry me?”, I want to express my gratitude too. It would be nice if I can be a boyfriend that my girlfriend can boast about to her parents all the time.

8 months before

Choosing the venue. What kind of ceremony do you want to have where?

How about we have two? Overseas, we could have a ceremony in Hawaii with just our families. For the people we work with and friends we’ll invite them to a reception in Japan that’s easy for them to get to.

Drawing up the guest list. How many people and who will you invite?

Honestly, it’s super embarrassing to invite the members but, I guess I have to invite them all? And then, I’m full of gratitude to Johnny-san so I want to invite him too. The plan would be to consider the amount of people coming from both sides and balance this but, ideally there’d be under 100 people.

Now it’s time to choose the outfits. What kind of outfit do you want to wear?

I’d consult all of the stylists that I owe a lot to, and trust their professional opinion (lol). How does a chic navy colour sound?

The ceremony planned by the groom is flashy ♡What kind of performance do you want to give?

Like we did on “Itadaki High JUMP” I want to try making one of those reconstruction videos starring the members. Hikaru will play me, doesn’t it seem funny to have the words “Groom・Yabu Kota” written on the screen? I’ll be the director and write the script and do the editing.

2 months before

The background music is a key point. What’s one song you want to play during the ceremony?

At my big brother’s wedding we sang a duet of “Mou kimi igai aisenai” (I can love no-one but you). So this time at my ceremony, I want to sing something similar together with my big brother.
