A.B.C-Z Hanakotoba Lyric Translation

Hanakotoba, “The language of flowers”, is another one of my all time favourite Ebi songs. It tells such a sweet and innocent love story and I personally find the concept of hanakotoba and giving 100 roses to express your love really romantic 💐 The mini drama PV that they made to go with the song breaks my heart. Make sure to check it out! I helped make English subs for the PV with my friend N and you can find them on her LJ here → 🌸

Original Japanese: Utaten

English Translation

Even though I’ve thought about all the things I want to tell you

I can’t be honest and kept avoiding the subject

I feel like everything will all fall apart if I end up telling you

Your beautiful budding flower From now until forever

I want to protect it

Hanakotoba I didn’t believe in love at first sight until I met you

First it will just be one but by the end one hundred flowers

Please accept them from me

Laughing straight away then sulking suddenly

I love every single one of these normal little things

Our love will live on until the end of time This I swear to you

So we never have to part I’ll carefully match your pace

You smile shyly as I hold your right hand

Was what you lost what we found in those hands?

Our dreams come together Our future

Is a blessing

Hanakotoba I love you If we can be together forever

Even just a simple everyday life would be the best

I will accept it

(I’ll be there) I will protect you forever, no matter when

(I’ll be there) With never withering, never scattering, never fading feelings

Be with you forever

Thank-you I love you

Hanakotoba I didn’t believe in love at first sight until I met you

First it will just be one but by the end one hundred flowers

Please accept them from me

Laughing straight away then sulking suddenly

I love every single one of these normal little things

Our love will live on until the end of time This I swear to you

I will make you happy
