I wear what I want at the time, so I guess I don’t tend to follow trends as such. If I did, it’s cold at the moment, so whatever protects me against the cold would be my top preference! All I’d just wear a down jacket the whole time. As for JUMP, me included, I guess there isn’t really a member in JUMP who is fashion conscious. When Yaotome-san comes to work in a full grey tracksuit, and when Chinen wears this massively oversized baggy trench coat it’s a bit shocking (Lol).

Playing online games, reading manga… the things I like haven’t changed. I’m still playing games with Chinen and Nagase (Ren), but I keep losing to Nagase and it’s started to make me obviously irritated and now I have him muted. I think it’s pretty easy to understand, on the inside I’m thinking “But I’m basically your senpai” (Lol). As for manga, there’s been a recent boom in the “Demon Slayer” series. I’ve liked it for a long time and have been reading it, but the story is interesting, and the characters are fascinating, so if girls read it they are sure to get into it too!

I’m busy at work at the moment, and honestly I have been a bit out of touch with my life. The laundry piling up in my washing machine is horrifying (Lol). I’ve hardly been cooking at all either, I’m living day to day on the lunch boxes they provide for me at work… By the way, I’m not really fussed about what kind of lunch box it is, I’m the type that’s happy as long as I have something to eat. Since I’m hungry, I ended up eating two sukiyaki lunch boxes during my MYOJO interview today too. Next time I have a whole day off, I want to sleep to my heart’s content. I’ll do the laundry after that (Lol).

There are a lot of people who have ideas like “I want to be like this” or goals like “I’m going to achieve something or rather”. But when you decided on a goal like this, people end up only focussing that one thing. I feel like I’m narrowing my own potential, and I hate it. So I’ve decided that I won’t imagine anything like that. Because I think that if I devote myself to the jobs I have in front of me one-by-one, there will be an even more wonderful future awaiting me.

Either way I have a lot of sporty clothes, and I always find myself looking at hoodies and stuff. There are a lot of brands that Daiki has introduced me to that are like this. Speaking of, I used to wear jeans a lot, but now I don’t wear them at all! It must have already been about three years since I last wore them? I used to think that jeans were normal and I’d wear them without thinking about it too much, but now I know about other kinds of pants and I’ve realised that I like them better.

It might be kind of hard to do as a hobby, but going to all kinds of different countries. In 2019 I was able to go overseas quite a lot, so of course I think it’s great. By doing this, I’ve also come to appreciate how great Japan is all over again too. The place that I simply want to go to now is Hawaii. We went there about ten years ago for a MYOJO photoshoot. But I have nothing but fond memories. If it’s about cultural interest then it’s France. I was still in my teens when I went there with Yuya, so I wonder what I would think of it if I went there again now?

Lately, I’ve started having two sleeps. I do it when I finish work at the regular time as well, but on the days when we finish a little early I go to sleep at 8pm, and wake up again about midnight. I’m wide awake when I do, so I exercise and watch videos, and go to sleep again about 4am. Even when I wake up at 8am, I’ve slept for a total of eight hours! I had no intention of doing this, I’m honestly just going along with what my body is saying and now this has become my regular cycle. But it’s not bad for my health, so I guess I’ll stick with it ♪

Since the only work all of the members do together lately is music related, in 2020 I want the chances we have to work to increase overall! We have a lot of members so it might be difficult, but it would be great if we could do something like this. If everyone can, I wonder… maybe we could make some kind of non-music related production? If we did, maybe it would be something like a drama. Because some of our seniors have done it too, right? Because JUMP haven’t had this experience yet, it would be great if we could~!

Since I started appearing as a model in “Men’s Non-No” my taste in clothes has changed. I’ve started liking things that are “lame but cool”, and tucking in my shirts. And I’ve also started choosing my fabrics. I can’t relax when I’m wearing something that feels uncomfortable. But before I used to wear the clothes that my mum bought for me, and up until I was in high school we would go shopping together. My mum likes more formal clothes, so at the time I’d wear a lot more of these. It’s fun wearing clothes that I haven’t picked out myself~.

Lately, I’ve been getting exhausted after doing intense work like the concerts. Even now my hips and back ache… So as far as hobbies go, I’ve just been doing what I need for my body, but I’ve been taking supplements that help with muscle recovery, and using a stretch pole to release my muscles. I saw Yabu using the one that he got from someone for his birthday, and I thought that it looked like it felt good and I bought one to start using myself. I have it at home and I’ve brought it with me on tour now too, I roll around on it and release my muscles.

2-3 years ago my mum bought me an indoor plant called a pakira and seeing it grow is so healing! To start with it was miniature, only about 10-15cm tall, but now just a single leaf is bigger than 15cm! I’ve been looking after it by just watering it when I water it, and it’s grown really huge. When I’m busy there are times that I don’t look at it properly every day, and when it suddenly catches my attention in these times, it’s really grown. I feel like it has a strong life force, and it makes me happy that it’s doing its best to live~♪

I don’t have a big goal, but if I did, in regards to something we could make as a group, I want us to discuss our opinions more with each other. I guess doing it just a little isn’t enough. Compared to when we debuted, we do more of the proper meetings with the higher up staff now, and we’re able to talk about our skills and the things we want to do. I want to become a group that has more discussions, and makes things that everyone is interested in!

I love sneakers and have loads of them, but I wouldn’t call it a collection. I want to wear them as much as possible. But, when I buy new shoes, I end up wearing only those ones without even realising. When I do, I arrange all the shoes that I don’t wear that often, and now they have had a resurgence as my favourites. My friend who is an illustrator draws whatever he feels like on them for me. I always leave the decision about what to draw up to him. Next time, I want him to draw on something other than my shoes, I want him to draw on my DJ equipment too.

If we’re talking about the hobby that blossomed for me in 2019, then it has to be going to the sauna!! Takaki and Yabu-kun have been enjoying it more and more, and getting all worked up with their sauna talk. I had no idea what was so great about it, but now I’m totally into it~. Lately, I go at least once a week, and at most I go four times a week. Since I’ve started going to the sauna, my body has been in better condition, and I haven’t caught any colds. When I was on the cover of the “Tarzan” magazine in 2019, it was the first time a trainer had properly looked at my body. I’m still doing the things I learned from this in my daily life now. I’ve started regularly going to the gym, and eating foods after I’ve worked out that have lots of protein that makes it easy to build up muscles. I’d like to keep doing as much as I can from now on. Next time, rather than myself, I want one of the other members to take on this challenge! Someone who doesn’t have a muscly kind of image like Yabu-kun, maybe?

When we were able to appear on the end of year music programs, I noticed that all of the members have started to be able to talk to all kinds of different people. In the years after our debut, we didn’t know many presenters or staff, and we’d always just hang around with only JUMP. Now, we talk to other artists, when we pass by actors or comedians in the TV station we say hello, and our ability to interact with people has grown. Before, I’d look at our seniors and think “I want to be like them” and now I guess we’ve gotten closer to that.

Since I like comfortable clothes, I tend to choose these kinds of things, but in 2020 I’m going to wear fashionable things, and do my best to become the fashion leader (Lol) ✩ Dai-chan likes sneakers and has this image of collecting them, but I think it’s a mature hobby~!

I went to the Japanese Olympic museum with work, but with recent technology you can experience what Bolt’s speed feels like and that was fun. Up until now I’ve mainly been a spectator watching on the TV, but I feel like the way I enjoy sports has changed. Also, as the Olympics will be held in Tokyo they naturally have to erect a lot of big buildings as well, so as an architecture graduate I’m intrigued!

In 2020, I want to decrease the amount of time I spend sleeping a little (Lol). What I mean is, I’ll still be tired, but on my days off from work I end up spending the whole time sleeping. But because of this, I want to bring about a kind of healthy, routine lifestyle where I always go to sleep at the same time, and wake up at the same time. Because I see my friends in my free time, and I want to make a significant difference in the amount of time I have to spend. Also, I think I want to work on my body a little~. So then, I realised that I wasn’t dressing very stylishly and gave it up. Actually, now that I’m at an age where I can wear more comfortable clothes, I wear them all the time. When I’ve got time at home, it really is just from time to time but I’ve been practicing my penmanship. It depends on how I’m feeling on the day how sloppy my writing is, but like lately, when I happened to glance up at the starry sky on my way home it left a certain impression on me. So I tried writing the kanji for star, and now it’s the one I can write the best. But, it’s a style where I don’t remember what I’ve written. The eggs I order from Bousou from time to time are my favourite, but my dream is to keep my own chicken, and every morning I’ll eat fresh eggs. Because nothing beats freshly gathered eggs. They’ll wake me up with their loud clucking, and it seems like I’ll be able to get up early too, it’s a two birds with one stone kind of thing. For Yabu-kun it’s musicals, and I feel like Yamada and Yuto have movies and dramas. I think that I could also make some kind of contribution to the group. This is a completely selfish dream, but I also want to fly to Hawaii (Lol). Not to go sight-seeing, I deliberately wouldn’t leave my hotel. There are times when my friends ride along in the passenger seat too, but it feels like having a conversation in a private room, and it’s great. It’s just, when I went out to eat steak with Tsuka-chan (Tsukada Ryoichi) and I gave him a ride home, and he burped in my car! It seriously stank, and we opened the windows straight away (Lol). So, even now folding the washing gives me a feeling of peace, and it feels like it brings me back to reality.
